Eric R. Andrew, Vice President of Colchester Partners LLC, has 21 years of
industry experience, with nine of those years directly related to transactions
in the investment management industry. At Colchester, Mr. Andrew has been
actively involved in a wide range of activities, including mergers and
acquisitions, divestitures, re-equitizations, MBO’s, business valuations and
other strategic advisory activities. He also coordinates the Company’s private
and public company valuation work. Mr. Andrew also serves as the Financial and
Operations Principal for Colchester Partners.
Prior to the formation of Colchester Partners, he was a Corporate Development
Associate for the United Asset Management division of Old Mutual plc, an
international financial services firm headquartered in London, England.
Following the sale of UAM to Old Mutual plc, he became a member of the team
responsible for the development and execution of strategies with respect to over
30 investment management subsidiaries. During this period, he assisted in the
successful divestiture of 12 investment management subsidiaries and, as a
result, developed extensive working relationships with investment bankers,
lawyers, and management of buyers and sellers.
UAM was a NYSE company and one of the largest independent investment management
organizations in the world with over $200 billion in assets under management.
UAM provided diverse investment management services to institutions, mutual
funds and high net worth investors through the more than 45 operating affiliates
it acquired or established in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.
From 1997 through to the acquisition of UAM by Old Mutual, Mr. Andrew held a
variety of positions within the Finance Group at UAM. Most recently he held the
position of Manager of Financial Analysis. In this role he had direct
responsibility for the preparation of financial models and analysis of affiliate
level financial information, key operating data and other business indicators.
Other activities included working closely with senior management of subsidiaries
to provide oversight related to business management and marketing, product
development and client and key employee retention.
Prior to joining UAM, Mr. Andrew worked for seven years as a Director of
Business Analysis and Senior Financial Analyst at Chase Global Funds Services, a
division of JP Morgan Chase.
Mr. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New
Hampshire in 1988 and a Masters of Business Administration from Bentley College
in 1995. |
